Adobe’s research discovered the average conversion rate for a website with video is 4.8% compared to 2.9% without video content. It also found conversion took 27% fewer unique visits, so the average cost of acquisition per lead was £60 for businesses using video, £74 for those which did not.
Adobe found those marketers who used video grew their business revenues almost 50% faster than those who did not.
Research by Buffer found visual content is 40 times more likely to be shared than non-visual content. Every day, people watch 100 million hours of video on Facebook alone, TechCrunch found. On Twitter, 82% of users watch video, with nine out of ten video views being watched on mobile devices.
Google discovered that almost half of those who use the internet are looking for videos of a service or product before they go to a store. That could be an online marketplace or a real-world shop, bar, restaurant, or hotel.
